What is Menopause ?
Menopause is a natural biological transition that every woman goes through, marking the end of her reproductive years. It is officially defined as the point when a woman has gone 12 consecutive months without a menstrual period. While menopause itself is just one moment in time, the changes leading up to and following it can have a significant impact on hormones, body, and emotional well-being.

The Three Stages of Menopause
🌿 Perimenopause: The transition phase before menopause, where hormone levels fluctuate, causing symptoms like irregular periods, mood swings, hot flashes, and fatigue. This stage can last anywhere from a few months to over a decade.
🌿 Menopause: Officially diagnosed when a woman has had no period for 12 months. The ovaries produce very little estrogen and progesterone, leading to various symptoms like hot flashes, night sweats, sleep disturbances, and changes in metabolism.
🌿 Postmenopause: The stage after menopause, where symptoms may continue but often stabilize. Women in postmenopause are at a higher risk for osteoporosis, heart disease, and other hormonal imbalances, making lifestyle adjustments and medical guidance essential.
What Causes Menopause?
Menopause is a natural part of aging, but it can also be triggered by:
✔ Surgical Menopause – Removal of the ovaries through surgery (hysterectomy)
✔ Medical Menopause – Due to chemotherapy, radiation, or medications
✔ Premature or Early Menopause – Menopause before age 40, often due to genetic, autoimmune, or unknown factors
Common Symptoms of Menopause
Menopause affects every woman differently, but some of the most common symptoms include:
🔥 Hot flashes & night sweats
💤 Sleep disturbances & fatigue
😢 Mood swings, anxiety, and depression
🧠 Brain fog & memory issues
🍔 Weight gain & metabolism changes
💙 Loss of libido & vaginal dryness
